- Rebalancing of exterior lighting
- Two new trailers (food-grade tank and mobile barrier)
Minor changes:
- New road signs (for example, the historic Route 66 sign)
- Time zone support (will be useful in the future!)
- 4 roads connecting the upcoming expansion with New Mexico
- Redesigned/new police vehicles (including strobes)
- Core engine and transmission info in the truck’s quick tooltip
- Trailers with state legal restrictions are towed only for services in those states

For modders:
- New interactive tool for exterior lighting and weather settings (included in the editor)
- New interactive tool for traffic tracking and rule debugging (part of the editor)
- Scene preview tool (part of the editor)
- New navigation parameters in map data
- Support service parameters in economy data
- Truck weight cost in economic data
If you want to participate in the open beta, you can find this version in the public_beta branch on Steam.
Access it as follows: Steam client → Library → right-click on American Truck Simulator → Properties → “Betas” tab → public_beta → 1.29 public beta. No password required.
As with previous Open Beta versions, please keep in mind that this is still just a beta update! You may encounter instability or bugs. It’s perfectly fine if you prefer to wait for the final release. But if you are interested in providing feedback at this stage, be sure to share your findings on our forum.
