This is not an official update of the Volvo VNL Reworks ByCapital mod, as Mr Capital has discontinued support for his mod

This is a reworked version of the Volvo VNL by SCS.
This mod replaces the Volvo VNL by SCS, so if you already have the VNL, you will need to go to the workshop and purchase new parts or components, but you do not need to sell your old trucks; it is recommended to remove tuning from them before installing the mod.

This mod adds:

Tandem chassis and cabin were removed back in the 1.39 update

Freightliner Cascadia 2019 by SCS has been converted to an earlier version 1.38,
This truck includes the sound pack from Krichbaum for 1.39, adapted to 1.38 and for this truck.
You can buy it from the Mack dealer, as well as the mod dealer.
This mod also includes a skin for the Freightliner Cascadia trailer.
May work in ATS 1.37.

The mod is a remake, based on the mod by Renenate

Freightliner Inspiration Mod Adaptation for Game Version 1.40

In addition to the adaptation, I made some changes:
Fixed geometry in places, materials in others
Set positions for new accessories from SCS.

The truck works fine, but since the adaptation is quite superficial, I do not rule out the possibility of some bugs appearing. Write here – I will try to fix them. I’m just trying to keep this interesting mod afloat.

Installation: unpack the archive into the "mod" folder

Redid the geometry of the side skirts. Tried to restore correct display of custom skins on these parts.

Changes in 1.1.1
Continuing to try to improve the truck’s appearance. This time I worked on the interior geometry, re-unwrapped objects, tweaked materials, and replaced some.

Spent several evenings fixing things I either overlooked or didn’t have time to fix earlier. The fixes are minor but numerous. Main changes:
Fixed side mirrors
Corrected materials and model unwraps in the interior
Partially adjusted the truck’s exterior geometry
Fixed sun visors
Added missing shadows
Fixed main lighting elements
Added some accessory locators inside the cabin, and accessories are visible from outside as well.
There was a lot more, but those were minor details.

Overall, it’s better now. But there’s still a lot of work to do.

Since I am leaving modeling, I am sharing my personally updated old publicly available trucks or trucks that were leaked into the public domain and which I have reworked for myself. Each of them can be found online in some form. All trucks have been tested on patch 1.39 and work more or less fine there. They are mostly in an "unfinished work" state, and many of them have some minor issues, such as the absence of reflective shadows for the truck on grass or asphalt (for ProStar), etc. Mostly, the usual "missing elements" might simply be the lack of window animations.
There will be no more updates from me for them, but if anyone wants to update, fix, or rework them further, go ahead. Feedback to the original authors is then mandatory.
