An early version of Season 3 (patch 12.0) has been released for the SnowRunner public test server. Since this is an early version of the update, bugs are inevitable, but the developers promise to fix everything very quickly and efficiently.
New update content
- A new region has been added;
- The International Paystar 5600TS vehicle has been added;
- BOAR 54318. This vehicle will be added to the game soon;
- The Step 310E received a new skin;
- New challenges have been added (available for free);
- Log transportation has been added. Logging delivery missions have been added to various maps;
- Trucks designed for log transportation have received new upgrades;
- You can now add curtains and windshield stickers in the customization menu;
- New parts for vehicle customization.
General changes and improvements
- Support for adjustable low gear has been added. This is for special gearboxes;
- Music on the map will now play in random order;
- You can now remove almost any trailers from the map via the functions menu.
Fixes (general)
- Trucks left on bridges before a restart no longer get stuck in textures;
- The “engine start” message will no longer appear when trying to winch a turned-off vehicle of another player;
- Camera fix for the KRS 58 Bandit;
- Beacons on trucks are now always off by default;
- “Tools for the Warehouse” mission. Fixed a bug with a trailer popping out of the ground;
- Fixed a bug with repeated detection of the target trailer. This bug occurred when restarting the game or mission;
- Oil stains will now remain on the water surface. Stains appear if the player’s truck is in the water;
- Fixed a bug where the garage displayed the wrong number of points;
- When the limit is reached, the host can no longer invite new players;
- Fixed a bug where the KRS 58 Bandit crane suddenly started rotating;
- Map markers now appear immediately, not after rotating the map;
- Trucks on the map no longer have a blur effect;
- Fixed a bug where the group management menu had a third slot available, even though the game was limited to 2 players;
- In co-op, the crane did not reset to its initial state for some players. This has been fixed;
- Fixed a bug where it was impossible to scroll through the entire upgrade menu and see the full list of trucks;
- Other minor fixes.
Mod Browser
- Now a confirmation window appears when trying to unsubscribe from a mod;
- Due to a bug, the “sort by name” function worked in reverse – from the end of the alphabet;
- The complaint description window was limited to 30 characters. This has been fixed;
- Due to a bug, the mod list for connecting to a server (multiplayer) could be incomplete. Bug fixed;
- Fixed an error where mods were available in the truck store for the client in a co-op session without mods;
- Invitations now work in the mod browser and after exiting it as well.
Modding
- A bug on custom maps where the found vehicles counter worked incorrectly has finally been fixed;
- Additional checks for mods have been added in the editor;
- You can now buy vehicles from different regions on custom maps;
- Modders now have the ability to use the geological exploration module;
- On custom maps, developers can now set both the player’s level and amount of money;
- Another improvement for custom maps. Map creators can set prices in the garage themselves.
Maps
- “Smithville Dam” map. The manual loading zone is now highlighted;
- The “Equipment” mission now restarts correctly.
Trucks
- WS49x. Mirrors have been moved.
- KRS Bandit received a new winch attachment point.
