An update 1.5.0 has been released for Spintires. In addition, a free vehicle pack – “Vehicle Pack DLC” – is now
available on Steam. The pack contains a large number of various vehicles. Moreover, for the first time in a long while, the game features its first tractor.
C-509
The C-509 is an all-wheel-drive truck designed for carrying heavy loads: massive logs, various trailers. The truck has full drive and high suspension. An incredibly powerful truck from the new DLC.
B-500
The B-500 is the “little sister” of the C-509. This truck is slightly less powerful than the C-509. The B-500 is best used on relatively normal roads. However, the truck can also be used in more challenging conditions if needed. It has a large amount of mounted equipment (more than the C-509). That is why it can be used as a repair point, for unlocking the garage, etc.
B-431510
This vehicle has a rather long name, but it can be briefly called the B-130. A very powerful machine, although it doesn’t look like it at first glance. It has an extended chassis, which allows it to overcome various difficult-to-pass places.
B-80
The B-80 vehicle is not intended for off-road use. This is because it only supports RWD (rear-wheel drive), and it uses a very small engine, which simply lacks the power for off-road. However, the vehicle has a front loader and many addons.
In addition to all of the above, the new DLC includes new trailers: three types in total.
Update 1.5.0
Along with the new DLC pack, the developers also released a new update version 1.5.0. This update introduced a considerable number of changes. Among these changes, several important ones stand out. The first change is that multiplayer progress is now saved. This means you can save your progress in multiplayer and don’t have to start over every time, but continue from where you left off.
The second update is also related to multiplayer. Now it is not necessary to unlock a vehicle yourself. If your friend has unlocked a vehicle, you can switch to that vehicle from any point and continue playing with it.
And the game’s graphics have been significantly improved. Color schemes have been adjusted. Now the colors in the game are brighter, and everything looks much better. The difference is obvious.
Added:
- Multiplayer progress can now be saved.
- Players can unlock vehicles for each other while in the same multiplayer session, and the second player can instantly switch to the newly unlocked vehicle.
- Added a button to kick players from the lobby.
- New truck selection menu. In the new menu, trucks are arranged alphabetically, and there is a special search field by name.
- Non-Latin characters are now supported in the lobby.
- Other minor improvements.
Improvements and adjustments:
- Added a scroll bar in the map selection menu.
- Removed the in-game workshop browser.
- Changed LUT.xml and media.xml to improve graphics/brightness.
- Garage list sorting is now alphabetical. Trailers are always at the very bottom of the list.
- Other minor improvements/enhancements.
Fixes
- Previously, attempting to join a lobby using a map not installed by the user caused a game crash. Now it is simply impossible to join such lobbies until the map is installed.
- Fixed a bug with infinite suspension squeaking if the suspension level was zero.
- Fixed a bug where the sound indicated the handbrake was not released even when it was.
- Fixed random bugs/errors caused by physical interactions.
- Fixed brightness/contrast control tools.
- Fixed a bug with the compass incorrectly displayed under the minimap.
Notes:
- Each multiplayer participant has their own save slots.
- Resuming a multiplayer game does not require all previous session participants to be connected.
- When resuming a multiplayer game, all participants must have their own saves.
- Joining another multiplayer game on the same map will overwrite the old save.
- Multiplayer saves are independent of single-player saves, so you can safely start a new single-player game without affecting multiplayer saves.
