- The mod has been restored and updated to version 1.44;
- Hidden Russian wagons from the "Heart of Russia" DLC have been activated;
- Container wagons have been separated into a distinct class and are not mixed with other wagons;
- Removed all locomotives from the middle of trains.
This is the ETS2 adaptation of my mod for American improved trains from American Truck Simulator. It adds American (and not only) trains to ETS2. The mod will work with all third-party maps. This mod does not replace or cancel European trains (except for flatcars and container carriers), it only adds new American ones.

- Classic diesel and steam locomotives, cars, and cabooses for excursion trains have been added;
- Diesel locomotives and cars have skins with real company names and unique serial numbers;
- All freight trains are operated by paired locomotives from 2 to 5 head units and several additional pushers in the middle and/or end of the train;
- Lengths have been changed: passenger trains 3-15 cars (20 for Autotrain), freight trains 15-60 cars (up to 150 with the long trains add-on).
Length depends on the number of units and type of locomotives;
- Realistic train sounds in the new FMOD Soundbank format have been added;
- All passenger trains have been given reverse locomotive units;
- The braking distance has been increased for all trains and their real mass is calculated by the game for greater realism, acceleration dynamics, and behavior on descents and climbs. Accordingly, each consist is assigned power proportional to the combined power of all its locomotives (not everywhere).

Attention!

Distribution on other sites is allowed only if the original author’s link is preserved (look for the author’s nickname "powerfull" on the file hosting page before downloading). The functionality of any copies reuploaded by third parties is not guaranteed. Other file hosts are not supported by the author.

The mod is packed in a special archive; any repacking will cause errors and bugs. Please do not place real company mods or other high-resolution texture packs above my mod, as this may replace the optimized car textures.

This mod version does not support game versions older than (1.44). For older game versions, see the Previous Versions tab.
The presence or absence of any DLC does not affect the mod’s functionality. The mod should not conflict with mods that change the length of European trains; however, if such mods are loaded above mine in the load order, my sounds for freight cars may disappear and default game sounds will return.

Please remove all outdated versions and add-ons from the "mod" folder when installing this update.

Add-ons from the similar ATS mod are not compatible here as they will cause some train types to disappear from the game.

Long Trains addon (up to 150 cars) for the "Improved Trains" mod.

Created for players who, for any reason, are dissatisfied with the too short trains in the standard improved trains pack and want more genuine hardcore American realism in the game, with 5-minute real-time waits at railroad crossings. Most freight trains shorter than 50 cars have been removed and replaced with freight trains up to 150 cars. Up to 10 locomotive sections have been added for the longest consists.

Check before activation:

It is recommended to add this line to the game launch properties in Steam (or in the shortcut if you have a non-Steam version) to reduce stuttering:

-mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000

In the game:

The addon should only be used with settings g_traffic 1.0 and g_lod_factor_traffic 1.0. Any increase will lead to even greater performance drops.

Do not try to activate without the Improved Trains mod; for compatibility with older versions, use the Previous Versions tab.

Please place this addon above the main "Improved Trains" mod, but below compatibility addons for other mods (if any).

Attention! Load order is very important

Mods that change the game interface, economy, physics, lighting, weather, and traffic density can be placed above.
Packs of real companies with high-resolution textures should be placed as appropriate.
Sound mods should be placed below; sound mods that change train sounds will not work with my mod without compatibility addons.

This addon makes the following mods compatible:

Use this addon if you notice that when using the "Enhanced Trains" mod together with Cip's traffic mod, the game crashes or the log is filled with errors about missing traffic rules.

With high traffic density, to avoid game lag, I recommend using Short Trains Addon for the Enhanced Trains mod.

Only for use with the setting "g_traffic 1.0" Do not increase!

For correct use of this addon, you must have the following mods installed and activated:

- Enhanced Trains;
- Real Traffic Density and Ratio by Cip.
The mod versions must correspond to those specified in the addon (for older versions, see the Previous Versions tab).

Installation is standard, with mandatory removal (replacement with this one) of the old version of the file in the Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod folder.

Addon for the mod "Enhanced Trains". Created for players who are not satisfied with the overly long trains in the main "Enhanced Trains" mod, or who experience significant performance drops when encountering long trains in the game.

All freight trains are limited to a length of no more than 30 cars, which is half the length of the main mod but still significantly longer than the standard in-game trains, allowing for a more realistic experience than playing without mods. The addon is not compatible with the parallel addon for long trains. Use only with the specified game version and main mod.

Place directly above the main mod. Other addons can be placed above this one.

No train or traffic density mods are required for this mod to work; moreover, installing any train or traffic density mods that override this mod will spoil all settings and cause the mod not to work.

This addon improves the trains from the new ProMods Canada map using resources from the Enhanced Trains (Long Trains) mod.

This addon is not compatible with the standard Long Trains addon (up to 150 wagons); if necessary, a ProMods Canada compatible Long Trains (up to 150 wagons) addon will be released.

This addon must be placed above all parts of the ProMods Canada map and above the Enhanced Trains mod.

Only the current version of the Enhanced Trains mod 3.6.rev.5. dated 04.12.20 is supported.

The addon combines train sounds from the Sound fixes pack mod by Drive Safely
with trains from the Enhanced Trains mod by POWE®FULL™, replacing the original mod sounds.

Features of the sounds from Drive Safely:

+ Beautiful atmospheric horn sounds at crossings
- Quiet, almost inaudible, monotonous-sounding trains

Both mods must be installed and activated.

The addon also allows a load order where SFP is placed above the train mod, as long as this addon is above all of them. This version of the addon does not support mod versions older than 1.44. The addon does not contain any sounds or other parts of the Sound Fixes Pack mod, only .soundref text files pointing to the sounds and fixed conflicting files that caused crashes if SFP was loaded above the enhanced trains mod.

Critical update for the continued operation of the Improved Trains 3.8 mod and its addons in 1.44.1
Container wagons have been separated into a distinct traffic trailer class, which makes all old versions of addons incompatible and will cause game crashes if this patch is not installed.
Mandatory for installation of all addons for 1.44 and newer.
Also, all intermediate locomotives from the middle of trains have been removed,
and ballast wagons used to separate locomotives from flammable tankers have been replaced with enclosed hoppers.
Updating this patch is mandatory for the continued use of the Improved Trains mod.

modsets, stop improvising and publish this update as is. It is critically important, you have already blocked the update twice without reason, people will simply encounter crashes when installing the addons already published here and will go download my mods from other sites where everything is published correctly and works properly. By doing this, you are only damaging the reputation of this site, not mine as the author.
This patch fixes incompatibilities of the Improved Trains 3.8 mod with the new game version 1.44 (Release version)
The patch does not replace the mod itself or its addons but fixes all mod errors in the log and incompatibilities with the new traffic rules.
Compatible with convoy mode, but trains still appear and disappear near players (in single-player mode, trains do not disappear).
Install directly above the Improved Trains 3.8 mod but below its addons, replacing the old update patch.
The patch is locked to version 1.44 and cannot be installed on other game versions.
Only for the Improved Trains 3.8 mod version (incompatible with older versions).
The patch will be updated for new game versions.
You can find the Improved Trains 3.8 mod under the link "Original". Its installation is mandatory to use the patch.

- Added Western Star 57x 4x2 chassis to agency orders.
Update 1.40 brings many new chassis types to American Truck Simulator. Starting from economical city 4x2 and ending with powerful 8x6 for the most difficult conditions and loads. But, as always, the trick is in the details, and the developer decided to deprive us of the opportunity to try out these new chassis in the game without buying them.
This mod fixes this unfortunate misunderstanding by adding each of the new types of chassis to quick orders from agencies that can be completed even without having your own truck.

List of chassis added to quick orders from agencies for trucks:

- 4x2 for light cargo on: Western Star 57x, Freightliner Cascadia, Mack Anthem, Volvo VNL, Peterbilt 579, Kenworth T680 and International LT;
- 8x4 for DLS Heavy Cargo and Forest Machinery on: International Lonestar, Westernstar 49X, Kenworth W900, Peterbilt 389 and Volvo VNL;
- 8x6 DLS only Special Vehicles on: Westernstar 49X, Kenworth W900 and Peterbilt 389.
