For Gear Box to switch gears correctly, go to Gear Box settings with right ctrl + ж and in the "Transmission type" field select "simplified," then in the "Simplified settings" field select "gears," then close the settings and enjoy realistic truck behavior.

If you play without Gear Box, no worries—the mod works without it.
Without Gear Box, the truck behaves like the default.
