New Elmcreek Map

A while ago, we talked about one of the FS22 maps – Elmcreek. At that time, there was little information available. Fortunately, the game developers have published more screenshots of this map and shared additional details. There was also a video demonstration, and if you haven’t watched FarmCon – the video showcasing the map is just below.

How Elmcreek differs from Ravenport

In FS19, there was the Ravenport map, and many started comparing Elmcreek to Ravenport. But what exactly sets them apart? If you look closely, quite a lot.

Let’s start with the visual aspect. In this area, you will encounter both flat lands and a canyon with large rocks that fit perfectly into the overall landscape. The map features railway tracks, underground passages, and much more. You can even drive under the railway tracks. 

Elmcreek consists of several residential districts, businesses, as well as large agricultural lands where you can develop your farming career. Here you will find a gas station, a baseball stadium, a bowling center, the aforementioned residential areas, and small enterprises. And that’s far from the full list.

General information about the map structure

First of all, it’s worth noting that the farm is located somewhere near the center of the map, which gives you the opportunity to develop and expand in any direction. This allows you to create your own unique and distinctive farm. Some decorative buildings have been removed. This gives you the chance to create something unique, placing your buildings exactly where you want. There are far fewer restrictions.

There is a multi-level interior feature. Store your vehicles and agricultural machinery in your garage, build a barn and store pallets, big bags, or whatever you like there. The models are designed so that small machinery (like forklifts) can drive almost anywhere, so you can enter many buildings. 

Farm and field sizes 

The map gives you complete freedom. At first, it will be a bit challenging, and the fields may seem small. However, over time you will be able to buy more fields or even create your own unique fields. There are 81 fields on the map in total, ranging from small to large. You can connect them as you see fit and expand. Using the field creation feature, you can create fields of almost any kind, with your own unique landscape. 

Naturally, all this leads to additional work. If there are many trees in your chosen area – to gain full freedom, you will have to cut them down. Overall, the prosperity of your farm depends solely on you and the decisions you make.

Is multiplayer supported?

Undoubtedly, the map supports multiplayer mode, so you can start from the edges of the map and gradually expand your farms, developing your agricultural business with your friends, because it’s so fun and engaging!
