The map is terrain-based; geometric passability will be important in some places, with the default long suspension it will be quite challenging (for those who want to get thoroughly "muddy" - just right).

Overall, the roads won't let you get bored, all in the style of the real Spintires, no asphalt, only swamps, fords, mud, climbs, ruts, and logs!
