The time has come for the developers to share news about MudRunner.
As we already know, public beta testing of Steam Workshop map support has been launched for PC players. This version also includes an updated editor.
Depending on how successful this testing goes, the developers plan to release an update for the stable PC version of the game. Please make sure you try the test version; your feedback is very valuable!
You can find out how to
access the public beta here.
There is more news concerning the long-term development of the game.
The developers are very pleased with how players received the "Valley" DLC! It was the first expansion for Spintires: MudRunner, and it added not only a new map but also three new vehicles.
The developers are very happy that this content resonated with the community, and they are currently working on a similar expansion, which they plan to show us next month or a little later. The update will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. More details will be shared soon.
As we
already know, work is underway on MudRunner USA (working title), and the developers are still aiming to release this project this year.
Obviously, MudRunner USA is being developed for the USA and will be set in America, where a huge part of the Spintires community is located, so the developers want to showcase the most popular local vehicles in this version of the game.
The developers continue to explore options for adding mods to the console versions of Spintires: MudRunner and thank modders for their contribution in helping make Spintires: MudRunner a better game, but, as always—there are no concrete plans for implementing mods right now. Most likely, mods for the console versions of Spintires: MudRunner will be implemented as DLC.
Finally, work on the Spintires: MudRunner version for Nintendo Switch is still ongoing. No details yet, but they promise to share more in the future.
