The "Vehicle Presentation" series continues, next up is the ZiKZ 5368. A medium-sized truck from the 60s, it gained popularity due to its "durability." It is lightweight, has low fuel consumption, and performs excellently off-road.

Today the developers presented us with the TUZ 420. This military vehicle was used by the Eastern Bloc for hunting and fishing. One problem is the fuel supply, which runs out quite quickly.

Recently, a new overview trailer for SnowRunner was released on the official channel. The developers showcased a new portion of gameplay, multiplayer, and physics. Russian subtitles are available.

A little news from the community manager of the development company:

- Completing SnowRunner will take you more than 100 hours. It depends on your playstyle.
- The game size after release will be no more than 10 GB.
- System requirements will be available closer to the release. The developers are still optimizing the game.

In SnowRunner, there will be quite extensive vehicle modification options. The developers have made sure you can tailor your vehicle to any of your needs (both cosmetic and practical). Each vehicle has its own list of available modifications. Below, we will describe the full range of what can be modified.

1. Engine

The engine is the heart of the vehicle, so it affects most characteristics: durability, torque, speed, and fuel consumption.



2. Transmission

Disabling the reducer in the transmission can give you more control over the vehicle. It affects fuel consumption. Having additional low gears can provide an advantage when driving through mud or rough terrain.

3. Suspension

Useful when driving over rocks and uneven terrain. Choose any type: high, low, or something in between. Something for every taste.



4. Tires

There are various types of tires suitable for different types of surfaces. There is also a universal tire option with high off-road capability. On snow, you can install chains to improve traction and handling.

5. Additional Modules

Installed on the vehicle frame, depending on the type of vehicle. For reconnaissance vehicles, as usual, you can install everything related to supply and repair (spare tires, additional fuel tanks, repair modules). On tractors, you can install cranes, flatbeds without sides, and special equipment that, for example, helps find oil.



The suspension will sag depending on the load.

6. Differential Lock Mechanism and All-Wheel Drive

In general, these features are initially installed on some vehicles (by default). Also, there are vehicles where you can manually toggle the drive on/off. Nevertheless, sometimes you have to go to the garage and acquire these capabilities yourself.

The differential lock and all-wheel drive can be in four states:
- Active
- Switchable
- Unavailable
- Upgradeable
- All-wheel drive (the vehicle can use all wheels, but not Newton’s bin).

It is important to note that when the differential lock is engaged, the vehicle performs better on uneven surfaces; if it is off, the ride will be smoother in turns.

Thanks to this lock, all wheels start rotating at the same speed (which is why turning becomes more difficult). At the same time, the lock provides more power to a single wheel if it has traction with the surface.

7. Snorkel

Allows you to ford water obstacles, protecting the engine from water. The main thing is not to forget to keep the top of the snorkel above the water level.
