The fourth seasonal pass for SnowRunner has been released. This means it's time to review all the features, fixes, and improvements of this major update. Recall that the update is available to all owners of the seasonal pass and the premium edition of the game. Additionally, the game is now available on both Nintendo Switch and the Steam store (no longer an Epic Games exclusive).
First of all, let's highlight 4 huge maps. The update added a new location to the game – the Amur region, and each map measures 4 sq km. This is twice the size of the maps from the first seasonal pass. Development of the next update is already in full swing, which will also add new maps, vehicles, and more.
General
- 4 new maps with their own missions, contracts, and challenges.
- New vehicles available for purchase.
- New skins for existing vehicles.
- Overall, 4 new challenges.
- The main feature of the update is the hardcore (difficult) game mode, where trailers are not sold, time does not skip, vehicle sales are for a very small amount, free evacuation is disabled (but paid evacuation is available), and now almost everything costs money: you have to pay for vehicle repairs and for pulling out from the parking lot as well. We have already reviewed the full list of changes for the hardcore mode.
Other changes
