This mod adds new Cat 3408 engine sounds to the game when using the engines listed below.
Any other engines will use the standard SCS sounds.
The mod is not compatible with older versions of the game.

IMPORTANT – for best results, disable cabin reverberation

Work in progress using FMOD; over time, more precise sound tuning will be done.

You will find seven power options for this engine from 400 hp to 800 hp:
1. 3408 T DI: 400 hp
2. 3408A TA: 450 hp
3. 3408B TA: 500 hp
4. 3408B TA: 540
5. 3408E TA: 600 hp
6. 3408E TA: 700
7. 3408E TA: 800 hp at 2100 rpm,

Also, all the trucks listed below for versions 1.35 and 1.36 will start working in 1.39 with the above engines and sounds

In the new DLC for American Truck Simulator, we will be able to visit a new state on our journeys – Idaho. The area stands out with its large and beautiful mountains, as well as nature in general. In the northwestern state of Idaho, there are many outdoor recreation areas in mountainous locations. Most of Idaho's landscape consists of large mountains, rivers, and agricultural areas.

The release of the new DLC is expected in the second half of 2020. Meanwhile, we can enjoy screenshots that showcase all the charms of the new state, including beautiful cities, pristine lakes, and stunning regions overall.

Additionally, a number of prefabs that will be included in the game can be found, and we will be able to see them on our journeys. Older modular structures will receive a new look and will better harmonize with the game world.

Sometimes games can really teach you something new, as they are not only a good way to relax and unwind after a hard day at work. The developers of American Truck Simulator prove this once again, as the Idaho DLC will feature a rather interesting element that allows virtual travelers to better learn the history of various locations.

While traveling through the state of Idaho, you can come across quite interesting signs that were placed by Native Americans so that passersby could learn the history of important historical sites. The developers of American Truck Simulator have brought these signs into the game (there are more than 300 of them). Consequently, virtual travelers will truly have the chance to stop and find out where they are and what makes the place famous. It’s both enjoyable and informative!
