American Truck Simulator 1823

A new update is available for American Truck Simulator. The version of this update is 1.37, and the developers have finally decided to launch an open beta test for this update. According to them, they love offering their players new updates and adding new features to the game that players have long requested. Moreover, they greatly appreciate the support during the beta testing phase. The list of changes is quite extensive, but there are several special features that cannot be overlooked.

Working windows
In update 1.37, windows can now be rolled up and down. It might seem like a minor detail. However, it is precisely such small details that make great games, and this feature has been requested for a long time. Well, now everyone can enjoy it.

FMOD integration
The developers are trying to overhaul the game's sound system by adding FMOD support. Moreover, they plan to add the FMOD feature not only to American Truck Simulator but also to Euro Truck Simulator 2. The changes are already noticeable in the new patch, and it sounds pretty cool. Environmental sounds and vehicle sounds have been changed overall. Naturally, the system will continue to be refined and improved, and eventually, we will get the highest quality sound experience in the game.

Outside vehicle inspection
Want to take a walk around your truck and inspect it? Now you have that opportunity. Unfortunately, you still cannot exit the vehicle to explore the city and beautiful areas. However, you can exit your truck in the garage and inspect it. This feature can be used to zoom in as much as possible and customize every detail of your truck.

Food Tank – new trailer
A new trailer has been added to the game – Food Tank. As the name suggests, the trailer is designed for transporting food. However, Food Tank is more suitable for transporting liquid food products. The trailer can be customized.

To participate in the open beta test, you need to have a licensed copy of the game on Steam. Go to your library, right-click on the game, and select "Properties." Then go to the beta testing section and choose the desired version, after which the update will download, and you can launch the game.

This mod adds new Detroit Diesel 8V92 engine sounds to the game when using the engines listed below.
Any other engines will use the standard SCS sounds.
The mod is not compatible with older versions of the game.

Overall, the main textures make the truck look not quite new. One of the skins has been replaced (recognizable by the flame decal) which is more worn. The newer version comes with chrome bumpers and its own skins, while the older one has painted parts and a replaced skin.
The interior has been changed and the instrument panels have been replaced.
