BeamNG.drive Update 0.24.1

The long-awaited 0.24.1 update for BeamNG Drive has been released. The developers have made many interesting changes, fixed various bugs, and improved the game overall. Let’s take a look at what changes have been made to the game. It will be interesting!

New Car - Bruckell Bastion

Let’s start with the most exciting part, as the developers have added a new line of cars to BeamNG Drive – the Bruckell Bastion. Essentially, this is the most powerful muscle car existing in BeamNG. Potentially, this muscle car can have over 1000 horsepower, which is a lot for the game’s standards. However, despite such incredible power, the Bruckell Bastion has quite good handling and excellent maneuverability, so the car can be used not only on special straight tracks but everywhere.

Excellent road grip, good handling, high power – all these factors make the Bruckell Bastion a favorite of the police. Of course, special attention deserves the car’s customization options. You can fully tune this car to your liking. 

This is a full-fledged RWD sedan with about 20 configurations, engine options of V6 and V8 with additional tuning, visual tuning options, drag and drift variants, a Police option, and more. 

Remaster of Civetta Bolide

Now let’s discuss the changes to the Civetta Bolide. Essentially, this car has been completely redesigned. There are really many changes: brand new, higher-quality textures, a complete Jbeam overhaul, turbo options for the car, new customization possibilities. It can be confidently said that a huge amount of work has been done on this car.

ETK Driving Center Map Overhaul

The ETK Driving Center map has also received a number of significant changes: both visually and gameplay-wise. Now the AI on this map will behave more naturally, as AI paths have been redesigned and improved. New vegetation has been added to the map, along with various visual enhancements. The asphalt and roads have received PBR textures. And these changes are not the end!

Other Map Changes

• Demolition Derby Arena. Asphalt textures have been updated to PBR, as have the landscape textures. Now everything looks much more beautiful and natural.
• East Coast, USA. The map received a number of visual fixes and improvements.
• “Grid” Map. Landscape textures updated to PBR, as well as asphalt textures. Minor fixes applied.
• “Hirochi Raceway” Map. Asphalt and landscape textures improved using PBR materials. Night lighting added to the map, bugs fixed.
• “Industrial” Map. As with other maps, materials were primarily updated to PBR (asphalt and landscape). Night lighting is present, collision bugs fixed, and some visual flaws corrected.
• “Utah” Map. Night lighting added near the camp. 
• “Italy” Map. Building rotation fixed.
• A number of other improvements and changes for maps in BeamNG Drive. 

Missions

• A new type of mission has been added that you can complete – delivery. There are 10 missions in this category. Delivery missions are available only on certain maps, namely: East Coast USA, Industrial, Italy, Jungle Rock Island, and Small Island.
• More missions in the “Drift” category, available on Automation and Industrial. There are 3 such missions in total.
• New missions related to the new vehicle - Bruckell Bastion have been added. These missions can be found on the West Coast USA map.
• A new drag mission to the airport is available on the “Italy” map.
• A number of small fixes for existing missions + minor new features.

Other Changes and Fixes

• A bug was fixed where the player’s vehicle would respawn incorrectly during the playback of certain scenarios.
• Now, when creating traffic, an additional check occurs before a group of vehicles spawns.
• AI has been improved. Now, if the map has right-hand traffic, cars will stop on the correct side.
• Some sounds have been improved.
• A bug was fixed where the “Show custom vehicles in vehicle selector” option did not work. 
• A number of other improvements and fixes in the game.
