Update v0.20.2 is now available for BeamNG Drive, it’s been out for quite a while, but we can’t miss the chance to talk about it. Maybe some people still don’t know about this news. The update fixed various bugs related to the audio system, vehicles, maps, as well as localization for the following languages: Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese.
Vehicles
- Gavril Bluebuck. Fixed the configuration of the lower part of the car, which caused tires with white stripes to be used instead of standard black tires.
- Gavril Roamer. Fixed weak mounting beams for additional lighting. Also fixed the position of the lighting instruments.
- Gavril Barstow. Fixed a bug where the exhaust pipe did not align properly with the exhaust manifold.
- Gavril Barstow. Fixed engine bay meshes.
- Gavril Barstow. Fixed steering shaft.
- Gavril Barstow. Other minor fixes for this vehicle.
- Fixed incorrect rear light settings for the 200BX.
- Fixed use of the wrong slot for standard 225/75R16 tires.
Levels
- Industrial. Fixed some textures and meshes.
- Derby Arenas. Fixed terrain. Improved some buildings. Updated some meshes. Improved textures. Improved spawn location. Art_v2 folders are now simply called “Art.” Old V1 Art folders removed. Level folders cleaned up.
- Small Island. Fixed incorrect path to materials. Added missing textures. Removed non-existent elements from this level.
- Italy. Fixed path to some textures.
Audio
- Changed the engine load calculation system at idle. Thanks to this, engine sounds are now more realistic.
- Fixed the impact detection system, so crash sounds will now play better, without delays (in most cases).
- Fixed Supercharger for backward compatibility.
UI
- Added official localization for the following languages: Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil, Portugal), Russian, Chinese (Traditional, Simplified).
- Fixed a bug that caused the “Hide/Show” function not to work.
- Added missing translations for some game features.
- Other minor additions and fixes.
Miscellaneous
- The “clear cache” function no longer deletes saved vehicle configurations.
World Editor
- Fixed an error that caused a crash when creating a new road.
- Fixed a crash that sometimes (quite rarely) occurred when launching the editor.
- Fixed an issue with disappearing landscape objects in the editor.
- Added some missing files.
