Greetings!
It is advisable to read everything written below :)
The map, judging by its name, is a representation of the countryside somewhere in the USA.
Suitable for those who do not have the USA DLC (but the game version must be no older than the release of this DLC).
Requires the Oldtimers DLC and the Ridge DLC.
On the map:
- Logging site - 1 (with the ability to manually load logs from the ground);
- Loading points - 2 at the logging site and 1 in the village;
- Sawmills - 3;
- Recon points - 4;
- Gas station - 1;
- Garage - 1 (closed);
- Vehicles on the map - 6 (1 CAT TH357 loader from SnowRunner, converter author Canislupusalbus; Cat 745c by author Shashok75; 2 trucks from the Oldtimers DLC - Napco and UMZ-6A with fuel);
- Vehicles at the start - 3 (multiplayer start with 3 or more players not tested, if problems arise at start - please comment).
Description, concept:
The map is designed for playing with a single-drive vehicle backed up by all-wheel drives; in other words: if you want it light - take more serious equipment, if you want a more interesting playthrough - any American vehicles with more or less decent clearance are your choice. There isn’t much mud on the map, there is asphalt, a tunnel, mountains and bridges, a waterfall, muddy climbs, and more.
One of the features is narrow shortcut roads for small pickups, like the default Napco; I recommend at least once driving into the town with the same Napco (a cargo mod for it is already on the map, author Nicklegosta).
Recon points are deliberately located on elevations and serve as an additional challenge and incentive to drive small vehicles.
And now a mini story:
This time you find yourself in the American countryside, by a lucky coincidence a compatriot lives in the village, in whose estate there is a semi-trailer with everything needed to open the garage; also, a planned clearing was recently carried out on the power line in that very village, and some logs need to be taken from there. There is no one to load for you, you have to do everything yourself with a log loader) But the truck with the semi-trailer somehow got stuck in the mud, took damage, and is almost out of fuel, so naturally you will have to sort out the situation.
Also, news came that the guys drove a Chevy to a recon point but misjudged their capabilities - they wrecked the Napco and their mood; if possible, carry out an evacuation and patch up the retro pickup.
I think that’s all I said.
Now a mini backstory of the map’s creation:
Initially, I sketched some terrain to demonstrate a bridge I published on the site, but people in our community encouraged me to turn it into a full-fledged map, albeit not of maximum size, which is why everything is quite densely located. Playtime is about an evening or two.
The goal was to make a sandbox map, meaning there is something to do there, you just need a little imagination.
