In a recently released video from the "Developer Diaries" series, new interesting facts about SnowRunner have emerged.

What's new:
- Detailed snow and other soil types. Also, an improved engine.
- The maximum map size has been significantly increased (no specific amount mentioned, we already knew this from previous news).
- Mod support in the game will be implemented in partnership with the mod.io service. This means you won’t have to leave the game to download, install, or rate mods. This mainly concerns console players. Many companies have tried similar implementations, but all attempts have failed.
- Thanks to the sandbox genre of the game, you are free to choose your style, routes, and the order of completing missions in each region.
- Contracts (missions) can be accepted on one map and completed on another.
- Console mod support will be added as soon as it is ready.
- New built-in tools for creating mods, new tools for modifying vehicles.
- Improved online play, up to 3 people can join you.

The 3194 model was created in the 1970s in the USA. Despite high fuel consumption and a weak engine in the base configuration, these vehicles were actively used as tractors for transporting tanks – both within the USA and abroad.

A bit of fresh details about SnowRunner from the latest post on the official developers' forum.

SnowRunner will have a very important feature – vehicle modification. This includes gameplay modifications such as engine upgrades, tire changes, suspension adjustments, and so on, as well as visual customization. Players will be able to change various exterior parts and paint their vehicles in beautiful colors.

Tuning is done in the garage, which still needs to be found on the maps. It is there that you can modify your vehicle both in terms of power/off-road capability and aesthetics. Different vehicles have different types of tuning available. However, it’s not that simple, because tuning requires experience and money, which are earned during gameplay.

There will be a wide variety of color options. You will even be able to paint your big truck in bright pink. Or, for example, you can change the rims, add extra headlights, or install new exhaust pipes. Every player will have the opportunity to create something unique, their own one-of-a-kind vehicle.
