Just recently (literally yesterday) the number of materials on the site surpassed the 10,000 mark. Ten thousand is a solid volume that encompasses the enormous work of mod and material creators, as well as the no less important work of moderators who decide what to publish and what to send back for revision (and sometimes even fix the formatting themselves), so that we see only the best mods for our favorite games on the site!

On the occasion of this event, we are launching a contest with very simple rules:
1) share a link to this news in any social network from the list: VKontakte, Facebook, Odnoklassniki, Twitter, Instagram
2) post the link to your social network post in the comments to this news (Attention! You must post it in your own comments on the site, not in VK comments!)

Requirement for the social network account: the account must be active and registered no later than December 7, 2017. Activity is determined by the presence of posts on the wall, friends, etc. If there is not a single post on the page in the last year, such an account is not suitable.

Prize: a licensed Steam key for any of the six games presented on the site: SpinTires, Spintires: MudRunner, Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator, Farming Simulator 2017, BeamNG.drive or a sum of 700 rubles (the winner chooses the prize).

There will be one winner, determined randomly on December 16 at 12:00 (noon Moscow time) among those who left a link in the comments.
You can post the news link in several social networks, then post several comments with different links and your chances of winning will increase!

The STMods.ru team sincerely congratulates you on the New Year 2018!

It is customary to sum up the past year and talk about plans for the coming year. We will not break the tradition :)

2017 was a very productive year for our project:
Over the year, we literally doubled in size: we added sections for BeamNG.drive, American Truck Simulator, and of course for Spintires: MudRunner!

An important (and complex) stage was the addition of updates for published materials. This was an attempt to bring order to the site and get rid of duplicate materials of different versions. In our opinion, although it did not solve all the related problems associated with updating materials, it helped to tidy things up quite well.

The Contests and Giveaways section was added.

In the same year, we added reviews for materials, which are in steady demand – many write and read them :)

Private messages on the site were long overdue and were enthusiastically received by users!

Finally, we made our own comments, which are still in beta testing but were definitely worth the effort.

Of course, this affected the traffic: the average daily audience of the site doubled – from ten to twenty thousand users!

As for plans – it’s hard to predict: naturally, the main plan is to continue delighting you with quality mods for our favorite games!
Of course, we will finish improving the comments so they work even better.
Work is already underway on notifications based on the VK principle: a bell if someone replied to your comment.
We will definitely work on implementing favorite authors and individual mods to make tracking liked materials even more convenient!
Maybe we will add a couple more sections (if worthy games are found).

We wish all users success in the coming year! May games become even more interesting, and mods only the most desired and high-quality!

Recently, we launched a new small feature on the site – Favorites (now you can collect all the materials you’re interested in in one place).
If you are logged into your account on the site, you will see a "Add to Favorites" button on the material page and on the author’s page; clicking it will add the material and the author to your favorites, respectively.
You can go to the favorites page by clicking this button again (the label will change to "In Favorites" after the first click) or from the user dropdown menu (in the top right corner of the site).
On the favorites page, you can expand the list of favorite materials and the list of favorite authors.
In addition to the usual sorting options, this section offers sorting by the time the material was added to favorites.
We hope you’ll like this feature.

Also, you can now edit messages in the private messages section within an hour after sending. This is very useful when you’ve already sent a message and noticed a mistake.

We’d be happy to hear your suggestions – what else to add/improve on the site.
P.S.: We are currently working on adding emojis to messages and comments.
