Over the past month, we have made small but necessary changes to the site:

- Hashtags
Hashtag support has been implemented on the site: whether it’s in the description text of a material, a review, or a comment – type the hash symbol (#) followed by a word (or severalWordsWithoutSpaces). Multiple hashtags should be separated by commas.
After submission, hashtags automatically turn into links that lead to a search page for all materials with that hashtag.
For example: #bestMap2018 – now maps participating in or news about the recently held contest can easily be gathered in one place.
Or #TrophyStorm – all materials related to these competitions will be published with this hashtag.

- Blacklist in private messages
By popular demand, the ability to add an annoying interlocutor to a blacklist has been implemented – after that, they will no longer be able to send you private messages.

- Appearance of materials on the main page
Many who have added materials to the site noticed that after moderator approval, the material appeared on the main page with a delay of up to 5 minutes. This was due to the specifics of the site engine and has been the case since the introduction of material updates. Now, finally, this problem has been resolved and information appears on the main page without any delay!

On August 5, 2014, your humble servant timidly purchased the domain stmods.ru for a future project – a site with mods for the officially released summer 2014 game Spintires. Almost 4 years have passed since then, a lot has happened during this time (the admin even went to the army :D), but the main thing is – the project is alive and continues to develop! We now have 6 games in our arsenal and we do not intend to stop there!

In honor of the upcoming Birthday of the project, our team announces a contest:

2) post a link to your post in the comments to this news (Attention! You must post in your own comments on the site, not in VK comments!)

Requirement for the social network account: the account must be active and registered no later than July 22, 2018. Activity is determined by the presence of posts on the wall, friends, etc. If there is not a single post on the page in the last year – such an account definitely does not qualify.

If the uploader is not the author of the mod, they must understand that this mod may not be published, and if it is published, it can be removed at any time without explanation (the reasons may vary, from the author's demands to decisions by regulatory authorities). Among other reasons, a mod may be removed so that the author can upload it themselves.

The past two months have brought changes to the site and have been eventful.. But let's go in order:

- Information about who rated a comment
Added the ability to see who gave a plus/minus to comments (previously this was only available for reviews). To see it - hover over the plus or minus, and the tooltip will show "Liked/disliked by .. people" and a "Detailed list," which is a link.

- Complaints about comments
Added the ability to report a comment, just like with reviews. A lot of comments are posted daily on the site, and moderators cannot always quickly notice comments that violate the rules (plus a comment can be edited after being reviewed by a moderator). So if you notice a comment that breaks the rules - don’t hesitate to report it. To report - hover over the three horizontal dots in the upper right corner of the comment, and the tooltip will have a "Report" button. Together we will make the site cleaner!

- A material can now be in multiple categories simultaneously
The main news: a material can be placed in several categories at once, for example, the fire truck Kamaz-53212 was originally added to the "Special Equipment" section, but it didn’t stop being a truck. Now this misunderstanding has been fixed.
Moreover, it was logical to improve the search system - now you can search across multiple categories at once, and choose whether materials must be in all selected categories or just any of them. Thus, the search now also functions as a filter. Want to see all tractors that are specifically tracked? Please: you can leave the search field empty, but select the game, a couple of categories, and specify that the material must be in each of the selected categories - https://stmods.ru/search.php?search_request=&partition=mudrunner&partition2=tractors,tracked&p_type=and

- Changes in site policy
Also, in a moment of haste, we almost closed a couple of sections on the site due to authors who regretted sharing their mods for the benefit of the community and demanded their removal.
Result: the community loses mods and authors - more than 100 mods were deleted at the authors’ request (the main complaint from authors is that they are against modifications of their mods), the site policy has been changed in favor of original materials, and the bad guys promote themselves by riding on STMods’ popularity (to be fair, this also promotes STMods itself).
