Euro Truck Simulator 2 Update 1.30

I wonder why ETS 2 skips version 1.29 and immediately "jumps" to 1.30?
It's simple: both games (ETS 2 and ATS) were being prepared for the release of new expansions and major updates at the same time, but a few weeks before the start of the open testing of the American Truck Simulator 1.29 update, it was decided to temporarily freeze work on ETS 2 and focus on one of the games (in any case, they share the same base, so this did not set one game back compared to the other). After the release of ATS 1.29, it was finally decided that ETS 2 would skip version 1.29 and immediately update to 1.30, while American Truck Simulator would catch up with it in the near future.

The Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.30 update will bring a lot of exciting content to the game, and most importantly – all of it will be absolutely free!

Main innovations:
- Redesigned northern part of Italy, including a completely newly created city of Milan:
As we mentioned earlier, in this update the developers from SCS Software are releasing a redesigned part of the standard, "base" part of Italy. This is done in anticipation of the release of the Euro Truck Simulator 2: Italia expansion, which will add a full-fledged Italian region to the game.
- Updated navigation algorithm.
The new navigation system has already been used in American Truck Simulator since version 1.29, and now it’s time to add it to ETS 2. This is a large-scale update of the navigation functionality in the game, which required a lot of effort and time to implement, but now this functionality is ready and will surely please the game’s fans.
- Added support for time zones:
Time zone changes have appeared in ETS 2 as well. The addition of a time zone simulation system will allow for a higher quality approach to the further expansion of the Euro Truck Simulator 2 map. For now, time zone changes will only be noticeable when traveling from England to continental Europe and vice versa, since all other countries available in the game, except England, are in the same time zone.
- New SCANIA S and R series trucks:
The ETS 2 1.30 update adds new, long-awaited trucks, which have probably become the most detailed trucks in the game. Thus, you will be able to explore the redesigned northern part of Italy and look for other changes in these new trucks.

Other changes:
- The ZF-16 gearbox has been updated for the upcoming Italia expansion and adapted for all trucks on which it was previously unavailable;
- Improved map projection (more accurate environmental simulation), map panning settings;
- Added support for simulation of new engine types (for example, those installed in the 2017 DAF model range);
- Brief information (tooltip) about the truck will now display information about the installed engine type and gearbox;
- Trailers that are used only in certain countries will no longer appear outside those countries and will be used only in countries where they are legally allowed;
- Developers continued to improve DAF, Volvo, and SCANIA trucks;
- A variety of fixes and corrections on the game map, both in its base part and in regions added by expansions (DLC);
- Added a new trailer for transporting yachts.

Developer tools / modding:
- Added new functionality for lighting and weather settings (part of the Editor);
- Added new functionality for traffic rules settings and monitoring (part of the Editor);
- Added the ability to preview the constructed scene (part of the Editor);
- Added new navigation functionality in map parameters and data;
- Added data from service/support centers (garages) to economic parameters;
- Added data from weigh station prices to economic parameters.
On November 17, the open beta test of the 1.30 update for Euro Truck Simulator 2 was launched.

Anyone interested can participate in the open testing (no password required). To do this, select the test build of the game (public_beta – 1.30 public beta) in the game properties on Steam, under the “BETAS” tab. You can leave information about found bugs and issues on the developers’ forum.

TEDIT version 6.7.1 for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (v1.30.x)

This version supports multi-trailers (double, triple, etc.). How to build, load, and unload them - see the video "Multiply trailers - build, load, unload.mp4". When loading cargo into a trailer, the cargo weight is distributed evenly between the trailer and its dolly (leading trailer), but only if the leader has no jobs!

Now each cargo has COG coefficients (file cog.txt). If the program detects the absence of COG for the cargo, the default COG (0, 0.4444, 0) will be used. You can manually change the COG of each cargo in the program (in the "Bases cargoes" window).

Now in the "Hotkeys config" window, key codes are represented by names instead of numeric codes.

Now it is possible to cancel the selected job by pressing the [Delete] key in the job list.

Now when selling a trailer, prices from the trailers.txt file are taken into account.

Utilities updated.
The Mods folder contains mods necessary for the full functioning of the program:
- tedit_notebook_ats.scs - modified notebook for American Truck Simulator
- tedit_notebook_ets.scs - modified notebook for Euro Truck Simulator 2
- tedit_opengates_ats.scs - open gates for ATS 1.6+

Place the required files into the "mod" folder.

The Plugins folder contains plugins necessary for the full functioning of the program. These plugins are needed for interaction with the program directly from the game. Plugins are available in two versions - for x86 and x64. Copy the entire "bin" folder into the folder where the game is installed: ...\Euro Truck Simulator 2\ or ...\American Truck Simulator\.

The Tools folder contains utilities for automatically creating files required for TEDIT operation: alias files, dispatcher_cargoes.txt, special_cargoes.txt, and tedit.ini. See the readme files for details.

Most help (tips) can be read directly in the program by pressing F1 and moving the mouse pointer over any program elements. There are also some video helps in the Videos folder.


Notes:
The gps.txt files contain coordinates of all default bases for ETS2 v1.30.1.19s and ATS v1.29.1.17s, with all DLCs!
By default, the hotkey to call the dispatcher from the game is F12, and to get the last 5 messages - the "right Windows" key!

Useful information:

When launched, the program automatically decodes the save, opens it, and saves a copy in the file game.sii.bak.

When closing, the program DOES NOT save the save! To save, you need to press the "Save game.sii" button.

"Open" trailers mean trailers whose cargo is visually visible to the user (log carrier, low loader, tipper, container carrier, car carrier, etc.). Accordingly, in "closed" trailers, cargo is not visually visible (Krone Profiliner, Schmitz Universal, etc.).

The second part of the alias filename is taken from the language selected in the game. If the alias file is not found, English is used by default (aliases_en_gb.txt). If you forcibly specify the parameter aliases_filename= in the program config, that file will be used.

Each time the program starts, it analyzes the save and replenishes the cargo list for companies (files companies_in.txt, companies_out.txt). If you do not want the program to do this (for example, when creating exclusively your own logistics), set the collect_on_start parameter in the program config to "0".

Now when unloading, the distance of the trailer from the unloading base coordinates is taken into account. If it is farther than 300 meters, you will not be able to unload. This is adjustable in the config by the max_unloading_distance parameter (default is 300).

You can also adjust the probability of a suspended job appearing (when the dispatcher says "Coordinates will be sent later..."). This is controlled by the suspended_prob= parameter. Default is 0.5.

Installation:
1. In the main game config, the parameter g_save_format must be "2"!
2. Copy the entire "TEDIT" folder somewhere on your computer.
3. Delete all old TEDIT utilities, mods, and plugins.
4. Copy the new TEDIT utilities, mods, and plugins into their folders.

WARNING!
If the game successfully loads the plugin, a message "Detected request to use additional SDK features" will appear when starting the game. If this message does not appear, it means the game failed to load the plugin.
