DLC Texas: Cities and Towns

Are you waiting for the major "Texas" expansion for American Truck Simulator? The developers have published new screenshots from various cities and towns in Texas, showcasing the beauty of this region.

San Angelo
First, let's take a look at screenshots of San Angelo – an incredibly beautiful city with many landmarks, historic buildings, and stunning nature. An interesting fact – San Angelo is considered one of the best small towns for business in Texas.

Waco
Another city in the state – Waco. This city has a rich history and cultural values. Back in the 19th century, the city played an important role in the development of the state, becoming a true trade center and attracting more and more businesses. Prestigious educational institutions and various important establishments began to open throughout the city.

Galveston
Galveston is an incredibly beautiful city that is also an excellent tourist destination, as it is a seaside resort. The city once became a major trade center, but later the focus shifted back to tourism, and to this day Galveston remains a great resort town.

Amarillo
A city with a strong agricultural presence. Meadows surround this city everywhere. The city's name comes from the word Amarillo, which means "Yellow." The city was named so because yellow flowers and yellow soil can be found everywhere.

But the developers shared not only screenshots of the above-mentioned cities but also screenshots of individual settlements that you will be able to visit in the "Texas" expansion. Can you guess which settlements are shown in the screenshots?

DLC Montana: New Industries

Montana is an amazing place that has it all: incredible nature, beautiful cities, and towns. You want to travel through this location again and again, but you always need to remember the most important thing – work. The developers have shared new screenshots from the upcoming Montana expansion for American Truck Simulator. Here you can see screenshots of the depot and some production facilities. In addition, they shared information about the industries that will be included in the expansion.

Transshipment Station
In the state of Montana, you will find a transshipment station – a place where waste is sorted. It is there that all waste is categorized: plastic, glass, and others, and then sent for recycling so that it can later be used in manufacturing.

Semi-Trailer Service
An important place for every trucker when technical maintenance is required. In any case, in the expansion, you will be able to assist such services by delivering spare parts and other materials.

Great Falls Airport
A huge airport used for public planes as well as military and cargo aircraft. Back in 2010, this airport broke its own record – over 155,000 passengers in one year. In American Truck Simulator, you will be able to work for this airport by delivering various useful materials and tools.

Talc Factory
Talc is a very useful mineral from which various items are made. This mineral produces a white powder that is an important component in the creation of paints, plastics, ceramics, paper, and other materials, so in the expansion, you will be able to deliver some items made from talc.

Sugar Plants
In Montana, you can find sugar plants. Sugar itself is derived from cane and sugar beets, and these crops grow on large farms in the state of Montana. The process of obtaining sugar from these crops is quite complex, and during production (and afterward), additional materials remain: carbon dioxide, betaine, and others.

Elevators
Montana produces tens of thousands of tons of wheat and barley, and these crops need to be stored somewhere. That is why elevators were created – special storage facilities where large quantities of grain can be kept.

Power Grids
These locations do not produce but store and maintain various types of electrical equipment, after which this equipment is distributed among different sites.

Silane Gas
Yes, in the new expansion you can engage in various types of deliveries, but transporting silane gas is a whole new level, as it is a rather dangerous, highly flammable material, so only professional truckers can handle the transportation of this gas.

SCS Blog: California Redesign - Yukaya

Ukiah is one of the smallest cities in California. This city stands out for its unique beauty, notable charming downtown, and various businesses. It is one of the very first cities available to visit in American Truck Simulator. There is a high chance that you have already visited Ukiah and made deliveries there. However, very soon the city will undergo a major overhaul.
The Ukiah rework project is part of the "California Rework," which will revamp several cities in the state of California. Changes are being made both in gameplay and graphics. Many textures will be redone, new assets added, and more. Ukiah will have a new industry sector. The city is known for its vineyards, producing a huge amount of high-quality wine daily, and with the update, the game will introduce the possibility of delivering important ingredients and equipment from this industry.
Near Ukiah is the small settlement of Hopland. Additionally, within the city itself, there are some "secret" roads that can be used to cut routes short. We are confident you will enjoy the revamped version of the city, regardless of the purpose of your visit to Ukiah.

DLC Texas: New Screenshots

The developers have shared new information about the upcoming "Texas" expansion for ATS. New screenshots have appeared online, along with details about the cotton industry, as Texas produces a huge amount of cotton (ranking first among all states). To be more specific, this state produces 40% of the cotton in the entire USA.
In the upcoming expansion, you will be able to drive through and see these vast cotton fields, which cover about 36,260 square kilometers. Cotton is processed using a special cotton gin, and the final material is used in many places and industries.

SCS Blog: California Remodel - New Screenshots

During the overhaul of California, roads and road networks as a whole are under special focus. Many roads are not just remodeled but practically created from scratch. The developers shared new screenshots showing some of the rework on roads, highways, and road networks.
Many roads were already outdated, did not meet modern standards, and also differed geographically. A huge amount of work was done to rework these roads, make them modern and geographically accurate, add new interchanges, bridges, intersections, and various objects that are present on these roads today. In addition, you will now often see different settlements between cities.
Significant changes were made in the areas near San Pablo Bay. The roads were almost completely reworked: new intersections, a new road layout, and more. Interchanges were created from scratch, a new district was added, and a new intersection. Geographically incorrect roads were corrected, and the Richmond Bridge landmark was reworked.

DLC Texas: Truck Stops

A new batch of screenshots has arrived from the upcoming major "Texas" update for American Truck Simulator. The development team is becoming more experienced every day, and bigger, which opens up entirely new possibilities. The size of the "Texas" expansion is direct proof of this. This state is very large in itself, and it shows in every aspect, even in truck stops and gas stations. There are quite a few gas stations in Texas. More than in other regions. And they are large, with plenty of free space.
Almost every city has its own rest areas for drivers. Now there is truly an opportunity to give the driver a good rest after exhausting work, so they can safely continue their journey.
At the same time, quality will not suffer. You will even have the chance to visit the largest gas station in the world. Keep in mind that development is still in full swing, and the locations shown in the screenshots may be changed in the final version.
