The developers have added a small update to Euro Truck Simulator 2 that affects the DLC KRONE Trailer Pack. Krone has always cared about drivers, and immediately following the European Union's requirements, they added a new underrun protection device specifically for drivers following trailers. The new protective device can save drivers in the event of an accident. Now these underrun protective barriers are also available in ETS 2 for Krone trailers in the DLC Krone Trailer Pack. But that’s not all the changes in this update.
There is one more small detail added to the game – a figurine of Harald Schäfer. You can decorate your truck cabin with this toy figurine.

The developers have been working with Nvidia and DAF Trucks for a long time, and today we will talk about the project they all worked on together. In fact, the developers shared a lot of interesting information. First of all, it is worth paying attention to the DAF Virtual Experience project, which allows anyone to visit a virtual version of the DAF factory. The developers announced this a long time ago, and since then a lot of work has been done to add modern DAF models to ETS 2. 
Recently, the developers announced another interesting project closely related to DAF Virtual Experience. They called this project DAF Drive. This system allows anyone to get behind the wheel of a virtual truck directly on the website, without buying or downloading anything. That is, now on the website you can not only visit the DAF factory and museum but also take a ride on some models along scenic routes. 
To implement this, NVIDIA GeForce NOW technology and streaming were used. So far, this feature is only a demonstration, a demo version. Yes, it is not connected to the ETS 2 game itself, but it is an important step in the gaming industry, as it became clear that a whole international truck manufacturing company can profitably cooperate with representatives of the gaming industry. If the idea continues to develop, soon anyone will be able to sit behind the wheel of the desired vehicle from home, take a ride, look at the interior, the vehicle’s exterior, and many other features, and only then decide whether to buy it or not. In short, this is the possibility of a virtual test drive of the vehicle.
All this is quite interesting, but what about Euro Truck Simulator 2? Don’t worry, you won’t be left without surprises, as the developers have added the long-awaited DAF XF 2021 truck to the game. This truck has improved visibility thanks to the curb view window, which allows you to notice various obstacles in the blind spot. In addition, there are:
