Freight trains in Europe vary in maximum length depending on the infrastructure and equipment used. In Finland, trains run with up to 60 cars, while in France - up to 20 cars. Other countries operate somewhere in between.

The default number of freight train cars in SCS is 6-10. To provide control information for this mod, the minimum number of freight cars is 11. This mod has a minor impact on passenger trains.

- The mod has been restored and updated to version 1.44;
- Hidden Russian wagons from the "Heart of Russia" DLC have been activated;
- Container wagons have been separated into a distinct class and are not mixed with other wagons;
- Removed all locomotives from the middle of trains.
This is the ETS2 adaptation of my mod for American improved trains from American Truck Simulator. It adds American (and not only) trains to ETS2. The mod will work with all third-party maps. This mod does not replace or cancel European trains (except for flatcars and container carriers), it only adds new American ones.

- Classic diesel and steam locomotives, cars, and cabooses for excursion trains have been added;
- Diesel locomotives and cars have skins with real company names and unique serial numbers;
- All freight trains are operated by paired locomotives from 2 to 5 head units and several additional pushers in the middle and/or end of the train;
- Lengths have been changed: passenger trains 3-15 cars (20 for Autotrain), freight trains 15-60 cars (up to 150 with the long trains add-on).
Length depends on the number of units and type of locomotives;
- Realistic train sounds in the new FMOD Soundbank format have been added;
- All passenger trains have been given reverse locomotive units;
- The braking distance has been increased for all trains and their real mass is calculated by the game for greater realism, acceleration dynamics, and behavior on descents and climbs. Accordingly, each consist is assigned power proportional to the combined power of all its locomotives (not everywhere).

Distribution on other sites is allowed only if the original author’s link is preserved (look for the author’s nickname "powerfull" on the file hosting page before downloading). The functionality of any copies reuploaded by third parties is not guaranteed. Other file hosts are not supported by the author.

The mod is packed in a special archive; any repacking will cause errors and bugs. Please do not place real company mods or other high-resolution texture packs above my mod, as this may replace the optimized car textures.

This mod version does not support game versions older than (1.44). For older game versions, see the Previous Versions tab.
The presence or absence of any DLC does not affect the mod’s functionality. The mod should not conflict with mods that change the length of European trains; however, if such mods are loaded above mine in the load order, my sounds for freight cars may disappear and default game sounds will return.

Please remove all outdated versions and add-ons from the "mod" folder when installing this update.

Add-ons from the similar ATS mod are not compatible here as they will cause some train types to disappear from the game.

The mod replaces escort vans with police cars

There are two different versions of this mod available in the archive.

One version will replace only the front escort van Special Transport Escort Police 1.2.1.scs:

And the version Special Transport Escort Police (Both) 1.1.1.scs will replace both the front and rear escort vans.

The escort van will be replaced with the corresponding police car for the country where the special transport mission starts.

For example, if the route for the special transport mission starts in Germany but
ends in the Netherlands, this mod will replace the front escort van with a police car for Germany.

Note: if the country where the special transport missions start has
more than one police car, there is a chance that the front escort vehicle will
be a different police car for the escort.

New changelog:
- this version will replace both the front and rear escort vans.

With this mod, you can deliver oversized cargo from the Special Transport DLC on your own special routes without speed limits or vehicle escorts!

- No escort vehicles;
- No 60 km/h speed limit;
- Steam achievements support. You can still earn achievements for the Special Transport DLC while using this mod.

* This mod does not remove the original Special Transport DLC routes. Leaving the route is prohibited, just like in the DLC;
* This mod does not work without the Special Transport DLC. You must have this DLC.
