The roads of Iberia are in high demand among truck drivers and long-haul truckers in general. Since the release of the expansion, the developers have received a lot of valuable feedback about it, and together with the map-making team, they decided to work on new improvements for the already released expansion.
The main goal of the new update is to build new roads. And not just ordinary ones, but country roads. But what’s the point of using these new roads? They are the perfect option for those who love scenic locations and want to truly enjoy the drive, not just complete the assigned task and earn money.
The first new road is called N-234 and runs just north of Madrid. The second road is located south of Portugal. The road starts near Sines and ends all the way in Spain! 
According to the developers, they are constantly working on improving the game itself and the expansions already released. Most likely, the new update will be released this year, but the exact date is not yet known. 

Great news for fans of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. The developers are actively continuing to develop these games, and you can already test update 1.42. The testing is open, so everyone interested can participate!
It should be understood that this is just a test, so there will be many bugs. If you want to help the developers bring the new patch to a playable state faster – this is your chance. Various bugs will be fixed based on your feedback. It should be noted that the update is aimed at improving the new "Convoy" system, so the main changes will be related specifically to this mode.
Mod support for Convoy 
According to the developers, a huge number of players have asked and demanded to add support for third-party mods in this mode. This is quite a complex process, and since the "Convoy" mode is new, the developers had to face many problems, as some mods may be removed from the Steam Workshop, mods can be installed by other means (not through the Workshop), and several other such scenarios. 
Work on mods in this mode is still ongoing, and you can help the process by participating in beta testing. You will also notice an updated interface with a new menu specifically for mods. There you will be able to see the server requirements for having various mods to connect. By installing these mods, you will be able to connect to the "Convoy" mode and start playing. In addition, you can easily see which servers use mods and which do not. This is also very convenient.
Now, an orange icon is used next to servers. Previously, there were only red and green icons. If the icon was red, it meant that for some reasons (server full, different game versions, etc.) you could not connect to the server. If the icon is green – everything is fine. The orange icon means that some mod requirements are not met. 
If the server has a mod that is in the Steam Workshop but you do not have it – you will be able to subscribe to this mod directly from the game, wait for it to download, and join the game. No more need to exit the game, search in the Workshop, subscribe, and restart the game. Everything is fast, simple, and clear.
Unfortunately, there is a downside to this whole system. If this mod is not in the Steam Workshop (or the author installed it from another source) – you will have to personally find and download the mod of the required version manually, and only then join the server.
Many mods will work in Convoy mode right from the official launch of patch 1.42. However, much depends on the mod authors themselves, and certain adjustments will need to be made for mods to start working in this mode. So expect many updated mods! The developers also ask you to make a backup of your saves (profiles), since this is only a beta mode and there may be crashes that could lead to save deletion. To avoid losing progress, be sure to create a backup; it will take little time. 
These are far from the only changes in the new patch, which are already available for beta testing for both ETS 2 and ATS. Expect many new cool mods that modders will start creating specifically for the Convoy mode, because playing with friends is always more fun! Russian church architecture is unique and has distinctive features that are rarely found in other parts of the world. They stand out with bright colors, numerous domes, and other details. The screenshots show churches: in the city of Rybinsk, the Ascension Church and the Transfiguration Cathedral. Also, the Transfiguration Cathedral in Ivanovo and the Church of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God in Arzamas.
We just have to wait for the official release date of the DLC Heart of Russia to personally appreciate all the new additions!

The developers have shared new screenshots related to the food industry in the new Heart of Russia DLC, specifically flour milling production. This is one of many sectors that will be featured in the upcoming expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Flour mills are used to grind cereals (wheat, rye, oats, corn, and so on). They often produce flour blends and also prepare dough. After a long production chain, the processed grain is ready for transportation and manufacturing in the food industry.

Great news for fans of ETS 2 and ATS. The long-awaited update version 1.42 has been released. The patch underwent beta testing for some time, where anyone interested could participate and help the developers fix bugs. And now, everything has been polished to a presentable state. 
This update adds support for mods in the "Convoy" mode for ATS and ETS, which we have talked about many times before. In short, the developers have added the ability to play with your friends or strangers on servers, with support for various mods. 
Mods for "Convoy" mode
This was requested by many, since ATS and ETS 2 largely thrive thanks to awesome mods, and there was a strong desire to have the ability to create unique servers and play with favorite mods. Many problems arose during the addition of mod support. Simply put, modders could remove their creations from the Steam Workshop, or mods could be downloaded from other sources – there are many possibilities.
Of course, it is impossible to handle all the issues with the first release, and there are still problems related to mods and the "Convoy" mode. Much will have to be installed manually (if the server has mods downloaded not from the Steam Workshop but from other sources). Still, everything is now in good shape, and mod support will only improve over time.
You will be able to track the server’s mod requirements in a new interface window. Additionally, there are icons for servers that let you know whether the server supports mods or not. 
If an orange icon appears next to the server, it means that you cannot join the server right now because it has mods you don’t have. However, you can quickly subscribe to these mods, download them without leaving the game, and enjoy the "Convoy" mode. This system only works if the mods are available in the Steam Workshop.
If the mods are not in Steam, you will have to install them manually. This leads to the next problem. The developers cannot know which version of a mod is used or where the mod was downloaded from. If you install everything correctly, access to the server will open.
Most popular mods will likely work correctly in "Convoy" mode. However, there will be mods whose authors need to make certain adjustments to enable proper use in Convoy. For example, there should be correct movement models for vehicles and trailers, proper sounds, and so on. 
Other changes
Improved force feedback and available for more types of controllers on more systems (Linux). A settings reset is recommended. Steering wheel animation range adjustment.
 

When cinematic cutscenes appeared in the Iberia expansion upon using viewpoints, it immediately became clear that the developers wouldn’t stop there. When activating viewpoints, the player sees the most beautiful spots of the location and various landmarks, making this a very important part of the game. Great news – the developers will continue to improve and add these points with updates, giving you the opportunity to see the landmarks of different locations in a completely new way.
More precisely – the developers plan to add a total of 35 new viewpoints, which will be spread across different maps from previous updates. New points will appear in many places: from ordinary ports to entire districts. This is the perfect reason to return to these locations and enjoy the new views. Just imagine the chance to overlook the Cernavodă Bridge or the Poiana Teiului viaduct.
Additionally, the developers will give you the perfect opportunity to visit the Cernavodă nuclear power plant, as well as the Pernik steel plant. Well, all that’s left is to wait for the new update to be released and get back to work!

Many players have positively appreciated the viewpoints that the developers added to the game. They allow for a detailed acquaintance with the landmarks in the form of a brief video tour. This became an impetus for the ETS 2 team, who decided to add new viewpoints (about 35 new ones) not only for new map expansions but also for old locations. 
A new video from the official channel provides a brief overview of such areas. The viewpoints will be available in the upcoming 1.43 update. It has not been announced yet. We are awaiting news.
